Spiritual authority does not come from position, volume, or effort. It flows from intimacy and consecration. This is why fasting is such a powerful doorway into authority — it reorders our priorities and deepens our dependence on God.
Jesus made it clear: when we fast in secret, the Father rewards openly. One of those open rewards is authority — authority that breaks resistance without striving, authority that shifts atmospheres, authority that carries weight in prayer and ministry.
Fasting strips away self-reliance and replaces it with spiritual confidence. Not confidence in ourselves, but confidence in God working through us. This kind of authority is calm, steady, and effective. It doesn’t force results; it releases them.
As a church, we are believing for an increase in spiritual authority — where breakthroughs happen more quickly, where opposition loses its grip, and where ministry flows with greater ease and fruitfulness.
Authority grows when obedience deepens. As we humble ourselves before God, He entrusts us with greater influence.
Today, don’t strive for authority. Surrender into it.

Lord, deepen our intimacy with You. Release fresh spiritual authority through our lives.
